Hard choice. Generally Toyota is more reliable than Mazda and they are less expensive to service. However, the MX5s have been just as trouble-free as Toyotas in the past. How many cars have a battery that will last 15+ years? This is very common on the Miata MX5. One thing to consider is that the MX5 Miata had some engine woes around 1999-2000 model year from what I've been told by a few Mazda techs. Any other year will be fine though. Still it's a greet car to drive. I'm a devoted Toyota fan and I still think the Mazda MX5 is a much more fun car to drive than the MR2 in corners. That's saying a lot because as you know the MR2s will always put a smile on your face.

Two years ago I bought a 94' turbo imported from Japan on eBay, 245 brake horse power which leaves all the boy racers staring at my exhaust pipes as I disappear ahead of them - It drives like a new car and not a scratch on the bodywork. The styling is based on the Ferrari and looks a picture in brilliant white. Toyotas' are renowned for their reliability and I have never regretted buying mine. {I'm not a hairdresser and don't even feel like cutting anybodies as I go from 0-60 in 5 to 6 seconds) lol

The MR2 is a pretty little car, it`s very suitable for young girls who know nothing about motoring.

apparently they are hard to control as they are real wheel drive and quite powerful and the insurance will cost more than other cars
