It's a Chinese metaphor. "A broken clock is right twice a day."
I've got my own opinion about it but I'd like to hear others. Any ideas?

I didn't realize that was Chinese wisdom, I tell people that all the time. Basically it's the idea that there's a chance that something that's not working or wrong could be right by chance or coincidence, but don't trust it all the time.

It's "being accidentally right"

Indeed a broken clock indicates the right hour twice a day, one for the a.m and one for the p.m.. The idiom suggests in my opinion, that even if a person or a thing is usually wrong, this does not mean that it is always wrong. Some times even this category can surprise us with good "information". So, just because this succeedes occasionally, it does not mean that we should not consider it.
I'm curious about your interpretation, if you would like to share it with us:)

We have 24 hours in a day. And we have 12 dots indicating that on a clock. Which means that the hand that reads hours goes round the cloack twice. With that in mind you can notice that a broken clock's hands are motionless indicating a giving time during the day. This time can be AM or PM.
So he who doesn't risk makes no mistake
i.e mistake is human and it might have a close meaning to the english adage:"no venture no gain"

Two times a day the time will be what the clock reads. If it is stuck on 2:10, then two times it will be correct.

This means that every once in a while a person that is constantly wrong, will be right.

It`s saying the time will be correct when you check it.There is no movement because it`s broken. And when you realize this useless clock is taking up space, and decide to throw it out,you will have extra time to do something else.Get rid of the clock and get a life.Good Luck

If someone is stuck firmly to their beliefs, they will be right once in a while, but only on predictable things.

I think it'd be best to fix the clock and open one's mind.

If the clock is broken and is stuck at 2 o'clock, it will be right at 2am and 2pm.

Analogy.....even someone not that bright or broken is right sometimes.

I think it means that even things that doesn't work sometimes seems to work well... so you cannot trust in something you only verify once, you must be sure that it really works...
