First off, I'd like to point out that everyone who answered yes to this question are females. The reason for this is that it is much easier for a female to cut her own hair, especially if its a longer style, than for a man to cut his own hair, considering that proper blending techniques must be used to achieve a quality look within the haircut. So, with this in mind, females: go right ahead and chop away, but if your a male with a shorter hair style, go to a professional barber, and get the job done right. Even most professional Barbers don't cut their own hair, unless you don't mind it looking like a chopped up uneven mess.

Sure thing! I've been trimming my own hair off and on since I was a teenager. Sometimes, I just don't feel like making an appointment and paying 40 bucks for someone to cut a 1/2 inch off my hair.

I've tried it 3 times......
The first time I was about 7 or 8 years old, and made a complete balls up of it................ had to resort to doing it myself the last couple of times in more recent years (seeing as my cousin who normally does it is suffering from depression..... and if there's one thing i know about hair, it's not a good idea to let someone cut your hair no matter how well trained they are, if they're in that kind of state)..... didn't do too bad a job of it.... just put the fringe roughly how it was last time my cousin cut it, and trimmed it back a bit at a time until it looked right....... the back bit isn't as easy when doing it yourself, and it's mostly down to doing it by touch.

I cut my own hair last night and I think it turned out quite nice. Of course, I only cut the front.

I cut my own hair all the time. When I actually go to the girl who does my hair, she always laughs, and says I am her only customer who doesn't mess up the cut. I used to cut my ex-husband's hair too. And, no, I have no training!

i cut my own hair all the time. i'm going to cut it tonight, just trim it and all that. cut the back because it's supposed to be short, but the back grew out fast and it looks like a mullet. lmao.
the first time i cut my hair, i did my bangs, and no one believed that i did it myself.

ok so like 7 years ago i tried "trimming" my bangs and yah, i just kept cutting them shorter and shorter til they were finally on top of my head... haha yah funny story, but anyways now when i got get my hair cut i watch them and try to learn what they do and now i am very successful and i get compliments on my hair all the time and people asking me to do theirs...

Yeah, I trim the front and it comes out great.
My bf cuts his own hair, and he does it really well.
