How many calories an hour playing 5-a-side football (soccer for you yanks)? Depends on the level of the game and your position, goalkeepers' not going to be doing much running is he?

The pitch is quite small, so most of the energy is used in stopping and changing direction.

So you won't be running very far, but your calories used will be higher than in steady running (therefore more sugar burnt than fat, making you more hungry). Some people are much more active in this kind of activity than others, and your own pattern of activity will increase or decrease from session to session according to your state of mind, energy level and so on.

depends on alot of things....
is it at a constant incline? because you'll rarely find that outside
how fast are they running? because the calories burned arent dependant on the time but on the distance(we burn the same running a mile as we do walking a mile)
