I have a breadman too. Love it. Call their 800 number, you can find it online (I had to get an extra paddle), just ask for another manual, and they'll ask for the serial number on it.
My rule, and from other recipes, is liquid on the bottom, then dry, make a dent in the flour and put the yeast in the dent.
Making bread is such a joy with this machine.
