I recently just stopped talking to my ex(my first love) i told him i cant have a friendship with him anymore its to hard and all this other stuff nothing really mean besides that hes not the guy i want in my life.but i still love and everything because hes my first love from two years ago. So im going back to california for thanksgiving week and i dont know if i should go see him after that letter if he still wants to see me. im wondering if its going to ackward???

I have an ex that I have asked to stop calling me or cut off all communication. he doesn't listen. It's hard when you love them but know they are not the one. From my own experience i made the mistake of going to see my ex after 4 years because i figured enough time had passed and we were both in better places.. That was 3 years ago.. he still calls almost everyday, he still believes we will work out, its not all his fault either because sometimes i will take his calls, but we can't seem to move on from each other. So my advice to you would be to maybe call but don't go see him especially if he still cares for you, you don't want to get into some long distance thing. Good Luck, use your best judgment.

Totally move on. Stop all contact with this guy. When you go home for Thxgiving, don't see him. You will always have a soft spot for your first love, but continuing to have a friendly relationship with him is not usually a good thing, especially since you know he's not the guy for you.

Seeing him would be a mistake. Once you see him, all the bad things about the relationship take a backseat and the love you felt returns. Whatever progress you have made over the past 2 yrs will be lost and then you'll have to start all over.

I say, don't go see him. I know how you feel...I still love my first, and he now lives 4 states away. I haven't seen him in forever, but would still jump if he said jump!
Give it some time. Seeing him now is not going to work. It's all still too soon for your heart to handle. Your bond with him will never fade - I know this for sure.

You can't live your life on a yo-yo string. Look deep into your heart and decide for yourself if you could ever have a happy meaningful life with or without him. You've allready said that he's not the guy you want in your life. Good luck.

well first u have to be clear whether u really love n u want him in ur life, will u be able to do justice 2 ur relationship, n if the answer is yes then go for him otherwise it is better to let go off him.good luck.

if you want to move on ,, go...stop seeing him... If you said he is the guy you want to be with in your life. First love usually don't last with each other.

It will only be awkward for a few minutes. So go for it. what is there to lose. If you don't see him you will regret it for the rest of you life, and regret is a horrible feeling.

If you are mature about your feelings then you can put the relationship in perspective. If you are not comfortable in his company (too many old feelings still around) then be straight with him.
