Assuming it is a first date, you should be in for a great time. You already know them and can just talk as if you were with a friend. I would suggest not being too agressive, but polite to start...compliment him/her on how they look and let it lead to sharing of felings. If you think you are ready for a kiss, then tell them, "I think I always wanted to do this".
Ifthis is just a friend date...then you had better make your intentions clear...the other may be expecting more.

If they are someone you've known for a long time then it's probably best not to start chatting about both of your ex partners on the first date. Are you sure you want to date a friend? If it goes wrong, you won't have the same friendship ever again.

Be normal, don't act what you are not. Talk more to know more and open up. Be decent even in a handshake, it should carry your feelings from your heart. Always wear a smile and enjoy every moment of the sweet company. You pay for whatever you both eat or drink, do not be extravagant, though. Good luck!

I dont think that anything should really change when dating a friend. You were probably very close before you got together. I think it is great when friendship turns into a relationship. Congratulations!

Be yourself, why else would they have become your friend in the first place? Just make sure your both in it for the same reason.
