There are so many mistaken-ed views of our belief here, and I would like to make some clarifications, with all due respect.

We believe with our whole-soul-heart-mind that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe that he is divine, and he is the king of God's kingdom. We believe Jesus is the only savior for mankind. He is the way, the truth, the life.

About the 144,000, no, if you read Revelation carefully, they are not the literal remnants of the Israelites. After Jesus died for all mankind, Gentile were accepted into Christian congregation, resulting the Jews and the Gentiles being one in union with Christ Jesus. (Ro 10:12; Ga 3:28) We believe the 144,000 is the spiritual Israel, not fleshly Israel. (Ga 6:15, 16) They are chosen by God to go to the heavens to rule as kings and priests with Jesus Christ, to rule over "a great crowd" "out of all nations" who will reside forever on the paradise earth. (Ps 37:29)

About the blood transfusion, we do accept and want the best alternative treatment in case of emergency. Many advanced hospitals now use bloodless medicine and surgery as the standard care. We do not want to die, or see our children die. However we will not put our interest before God's commandment.
This is after talking about how Christians were no longer under the old laws such as circumcision, the apostles and the older men wrote to all Christian congregations to "keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication." (Acts 15:29)

We respect that religion is a very personal choice and we do not force people to believe what we believe. We go back to everyone because one's circumstance may change and may be interested in some other topics discussed in our literature (for example, how to live a happy family life by using Bible principles, how to care for old people, etc.). We try our best to use discretion in calling on people's doors. This is an imitation of Jesus Christ's door to door ministry. We try our best to live our lives based on Bible principles. Sorry if some of us appear to be annoying, but, hey, don't tell me that you don't find any of your close friend or even family members annoying!

Witnesses are regular folk. They do not call to rob or rape. They simply want to share what the Bible teaches. And of course, at any time, people may wish not to listen to them - and they will walk away with a smile. Witnesses know and accept that not all will welcome their visit. But their visit is first an act of love. They're far worse things that could happen to one's Saturday morning!!! Next time the door bell rings - and you're awake - listen to them for a minute or two. They may even bring a smile to your face or brighten a rather dull day.

Jehovah's Witnesses were the ONLY ones that were able to answer my many questions directly from the Bible, not just giving their own (or their priest's or pastor's) thoughts on the matter, as every other religion did.

You have here a wide variety of ideas people have about us Witnesses of Jehovah.

I would like to say that many times people only hear a little bit about our beliefs, and they base their opinion on that limited knowledge.

For example, one person said we only believe that 144,000 are going to heaven. That is true, we do believe that. (Revelation 14:1-3)

However, there are an unlimited number of people who will live forever on a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:9-11, 29; Matthew 5:5) Most people do not know this is part of our beliefs, so they mistakenly think we teach only 144,000 will be saved, which is not the case.

There are many other examples as well, so when one hears negative things about us and our beliefs, they need to keep that in mind.

The best source of information about us is us.

most people think we are annoying. but i can't believe that people who consider themselves christians would say that we shouldn't talk to you at your house, or to reserve it for the church, or that we shouldn't preach door to door. because the definition or "christian" is foot step follower of christ, which means you do what christ did to the best of your ability because he set the example for you. if you get your Bibles out and read about christ, you would see that he instituted going door-to-door, as well as preaching where ever people gathered, and then instructed his followers to do the same. That is why we come to your door and Saturday and other mornings, and afternoons, and evenings, 7 days a week. Because we actually love people and want them to get their own Bibles out and read it for themselves instead of listening to some priest or other clergyman tell you what's in it. Search it out for yourself.

I don't mind jehova's witnesses actually - as long as they don't come to my door. I find that annoying. I made that clear. And they kept comming back.
Until I corrupted the children. MWAHAHAHAHA! They havn't been back since then.

But as a group, I really don't mind 'em. The ones I know personally (My uncles and one grandmother), are actually very nice people. they have enver tried to convert me at my mother's request when I was very young. I am actually very fond of my youngest uncle who was, last I heard of him, becomming a minister (Is that the right word?).

Okay, you really want to know. I think they probably believe in what they're doing but, I also think they're a pain in the bottom. They and all Christian religions are told to 'spread the word' but, things get out of hand. Everyone thinks their 'word' is right. Of course, our country gives them this right. So, I try to bite my tongue and just tell them I'm busy when they come to my house. If they push...well, then they find out how 'pushy' I can be.

There are the only Christians that don't do pagan activities all year, such as birthdays, Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc. So they are the only true Christians as they don't do pagan things all year round like hypocrites. But still as with all religions they believe in something that's not real, god.
