Americans don't lie down and take it quietly. A few who value order will cooperate on the surface and educate the conquerors, but a very large number would simply fight.
No country in their right mind would try to take over the US. Too many guns. Too many educated people. Too much information.
There is a book out there called "The Anarchist's Cookbook." It's nothing more than a military manual that got published in the mainstream, but there are thousands of otherwise law-abiding folks who have copies. Most have probably never done more than glance at it, but they keep them. Why? You never know what the future will bring.

And in the Hills, and In the Plains. And it would look a thousand times worse than In Sadr City. Remember It took Forty years to finaly stop the Confederate Insurgency in the United States. We would still be fighting that insurgency if R.E. Lee hadn't told us we had to surrender.

I'm always ready for a fight. If any country invades us they had better prepare for a long drawn out battle. The amount of people with guns is staggering. That's why it is important to be armed. Also we would be fighting for our homeland. An American fighting on his own land would be a force to reckon with. They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead fingers!

Most people would no matter which country your from if your invaded you form resistance cells and make the price for holding our country too expensive and the occupier leaves. Then you rebuild your nation. Sounds vaguely middle eastern doesn't it.

dam straight I would fight. No one, but no one is going to control this country without us fighting till the end. I am pretty sure many people would agree, this country is worth fighting for. many countries don't have the freedom that we have, so yeah, fight till the end.
