The same questions are asked over and over, e.g. "I feel like ending my life", "What meds do I take for depression or bipolar", "How do I relieve "ADHD or OCD" etc., etc.,

People have similar problems over and over again.

Next question: Why don't they just read the prior posts?

The "resolved questions" must be searched for and can only be accessed one at a time. It's not like regular forums where earlier posts in a category are all listed in one place and are easy to access.

People also think their problem is a little different, so they'd like to phrase their question themselves. And, they want the slight interaction that goes with asking a question and reading the answers that other people write for them, personally.

Yeah, but if it helps just one person then maybe it is worth it. Especially here on the mental health section where we may literally be talking life and death. Surely it's worth skimming over the questions to help someone else find the answer they are looking for.

Yeah.

I answered a lot of Tattoo Questions...and they're all just the same..

Don't people search to see if the question has been asked? Obviously they don't, but I think they should.

Most questions that are repeated should be answered by their own common sense that they apparently lack.

have you seen how many questions there are for "what is love?" or "does he love me?" or "how do I get him to notice me?" or "am I pregnant?" (like we'd know - duh).

It's a great pity that Yahoo Answers doesn't send 10,000 volts down the cable to every idiot who asks the same question that has already been asked more than 10 times before.

But as this is in the Mental Health section... do you think that repeatedly asking the same question counts as OCD?

It is probably because there are so many people on here asking Q's that you are going to get repeats! Just answer the ones you want or have fun witht he repeats!

This question, too, has been asked over & over. Along with:
"Does he/she like me?"
"Am I pregnant?"
"Do you think my avatar is hot?"
