I'm sorry. I cannot tell you why. I suggest that you use your new jerusalem bible alongside your catholic study bible and also use Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. But none of these is a complete guidebook to life. Your mission will also include talking and listening to other people, going for walks in nature and having some understanding of what God really means outside of your own limited cultural understanding. The real God is not limited to "first world" or English.
Best of luck, sincere seeker, and blessings to you.

Hi there!!
The translation of the bible in NJB (New Jerusalem Bible), is often used in the Catholic Church, follows the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. For the Old Testament the "Masoretic Text" established in the 8-9th centuries AD by Jewish scholars, is used. Only when this presents insuperable difficulties have emendations or other versions, such as the ancient Greek translation begun in 200 BC at Alexandria, the "Septuagint" (LXX), been used."
If you would still want to take a look at the text, here's the direct link to this version of the bible: http://www.kofc.duq.edu/scripture/

A very strange question indeed. If you have a new jerusalem bible why do you need a catholic one? If a catholic one existed, and it did not say the same things, it would hardly be a new jerusalem bible. It would be something else. In my opinion there are far to many interpretations already, do we keep going until we've got a version each tailored to our own specifications.

If you've already got the bible, why not just buy some study notes? Try www.cts-online.org.uk

Because you're not looking in the right places to find one... obviously.
Look somewhere else if you're that desperate to find it...
..... not that I can vouch for its particular existence or otherwise. All bibles are the same to me: bullsh!t.
