Because Christians were raised that way, that is- to shut their minds to the world with the Bible. Somewhere along the path, they were manipulated by another fundamentalist so that they would not listen to nor examine other possibilities, and would regard non-believers as filthy, and lower.....
In conclusion, Christian's logics bounce back and forth from one Bible verse to the next, and their recalcitrancy does not allow for the bouncing to end....

It's likely that they're taking your questions as attacks. Looking at this one, they're probably right. That will make anyone defensive. But here's another question, why is your faith in evolution just as strong as theirs in religion? Evolution is still a theory. I find many parts of it to be likely, but science is a long way from proving the complete theory. There are too many things that can't be tested yet. Evidence is not the same as proof. You'll find your "logical discussions" to proceed much more logically if you don't confuse the two.
Out of curiosity, have you actually read the christian Bible? Could you, from memory, list off twenty of the "hundreds" of flaws that you found, or is that just rhetoric you've heard and repeated? The reason I ask, is that most of the people who point to the many flaws of the bible have never cracked the cover. It's like giving a book report on Les Miserables, when you've only seen the musical.
Finally, I'm left wondering what drives you to pick arguments with christians, when you seem confident that you already understand their view. Is it simple trolling, or are you honestly curious about their beliefs? Either way, you'll find them much more receptive if you don't begin your question by insulting them.

1. They will say evolution is false when it has hundreds of proofs, but that their God is real without one single proof.
Funny, I answered a question about the flaws of Evolution by citing pages of science I found and the Evolutionist in charge of the question said they were "Christian psudeo-science" and didn't count. If you don't want to hear our evidence, don't ask.
2. When you find hundreds of flaws in the bible they will call you a liar, a Satanist, that you hate Christians, etc.
Flaws or tranlation errors? Also, were you pulling things out of context? How did you state your "flaws"? These things need to be taken into concideration.
3. When you are from another religion Chrstians will act like atheists when it comes to proving your religion and God false with no problem, but scream atheists are evil and full of hate when an atheist points at their religion.
ONly a few do that. And hey, a few atheists scream about CHristianity. People can be idiots. I know many Chrisitians who are friends with people of many religions and don't have any problems or preach.
We aren't illogical. Sometimes, I've found that no one wants to listen to our reasons because they really don't 'care, even if they ask the question.

As a 50 year old Christian who was brought up in the faith community, I think it is easy for us to just "have faith" that the bible is true, that creationism vs. Darwinism is correct, etc.
However, because I have a loved one who is agnostic, I have begun a quest to really learn why I believe what I believe. What I have learned is that scientifically, since Darwinism, more proof exists that there is an intelligent designer than that something came out of nothing. There are literally THOUSANDS of proven scientific facts that point to this.
Also, regarding flaws in the bible, I think to really understand the bible in it's true form you have to understand it's context. It is easy for anyone (including Christians) to come across what seem like contradictions or flaws, but when philosophers, theologians, researchers, archaeologists, scientists, etc., have researched and studied, they have found that the Bible is more true than any other book that has ever been published. Just because one statement in a book might seem "weird" or even "untrue", doesn't make the whole book so. More probably, it is in the interpretation, either personally or through the one who interpreted it (such as King James, etc., etc.) that it varies from the Greek or Hebrew language and offers us a less than true understanding of the venacular.
I agree with you that Christians are sometimes less than full of grace and love when it comes to accepting people of other religions or no religion at all. I can promise you that this is unacceptable to God and that we are called to love one another as Christ loved us. We Christians do have a lot of work to do in this area. I believe if we as Christians could somehow perfect #3 of your list, answering #1 and #2 would be a lot easier for us all.
I don't know if you have or not, but I challenge you to the same exercise I am doing. Research (new and up to date information) to find out if what you believe merits your non-belief.

The answer is not all Christians are. So first remove this stereotype. Its important to understand that beliefs are completely subjective. Is it really important for you to press your beliefs on others? Perhaps you are worse than the Evangelicals that come knocking on my door all the time telling me that I'm going to go to hell.
Science and religion have always clashed. I believe these differences will be worked out in time. What may seem simple to you or me (the concept of evolution for example) may seem very far fetched to someone of the older generation that has no previous knowledge of natural selection.
One more thought; If people actually followed their religions you probably wouldn't have anything bad to say about them. Our religions will always bear the flaws of their keeper.

1.Creationists and evolutionists, Christians and non-Christians all have the same evidence—the same facts. Think about it: we all have the same earth, the same fossil layers, the same animals and plants, the same stars—the facts are all the same.
The difference is in the way we all interpret the facts. And why do we interpret facts differently? Because we start with different presuppositions. These are things that are assumed to be true, without being able to prove them. These then become the basis for other conclusions. All reasoning is based on presuppositions (also called axioms). This becomes especially relevant when dealing with past events.
2.Flaws in evolutions too: remember Heidelberg Man? Lucy? Piltdown Man? etc...
3. Everyone wants to be right and no one wants to be wrong....

Christians have a thing called faith, i know it may not be the most logical thing but it is this faith that makes them happy and helps them lead a good life.
Christians get mad at atheists because you all are always trying to bring them down intentionally by questioning their faith, i know that sometimes atheists have i good reason to do so but many are just doing this because they like to upset believers, that is how they get their kicks, and those are the ones Christians call evil and hatefilled.
i have a question for you: Have you ever even read the bible or are you just going by what your atheist buddies are telling you? Give me an example of a "flaw" you have seen(this will prove your actual knowledge of this subject) i will wait for your reply.

They could be "Rednecks" from the mid-west states--aka the bible belt states. Some of these people -- you could stampeed over a cliff -- just like a herd of horses. People can be a "product" of their environment, and upbringing --believing what the parents have taught them, and sticking by it-- no manner. To be able to have a conversation of depth concerning religion with others of different views,in a mature, adult manner is a reward in itself. It should not be viewed as a threat to their (or yours")religion, but often time it is.All religions point to a "higher power" of some sort--wheither it"s the Sun, or the Son.

Hundreds of proofs? At no time in history has a mutation been observed to dramatically improve ANY species, yet MILLIONS of such positive mutations would be required for Darwin's theory to be true. It is COMPLETELY WITHOUT PROOF. Science - VALID SCIENCE has seen MANY changes WITHIN A SPECIES over a few generations which helped them adapt to changes in their environment, but has NEVER SEEN mutated offspring become a NEW BETTER ADAPTED SPECIES.

Faith in any faith is the antithesis of Reason. Try to consider of your self as being a microcosm inside the best macrocosm. The Universe or Universal Mind is the Macrocosm. There would be atoms inside your frame that have been as soon as the facet of an historic celebrity procedure. You are an excessively designated and detailed character.
