There's a simple routine...and if you practice it on a daily basis...you will see fantastic results in a matter of just a week or two! Right when you wake up...gulp down a huge glass of water...it will leave your skin glowing all day! After that, there are five steps of skin care that you should follow...
1. cleanse - you want to find a cleanser that combines removing dirt and oil, make up and that is right for your skin type...whether you have normal, dry, oily or a combination of the last two.
2. exfoliate - this helps scrub away dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling smooth.
3. tone - the toner puts back the neccesities that exfoliation can take out of your skin and restores the balance in your skin
4. moisturize - obviously helps keep the skin moist. There are also different kinds for different skin types.
5. protect - This is not a moisturizure. Think of it as a veil of defense. It blocks damaging UVA/UVB rays. It also combines vitamins and antioxidants with collagen-enhancing peptides that help fade away deep lines and wrinkles.

Exfoliate your body with seasalt or epsom salt and a light cleanser. Avoid strong chemicals or potions on the face--this only aggitates your skin. I personally use Dove Sensitive Skin Bar Soap and follow up with WItch Hazel if my skin is in need of it. Then close out with a very light moisturizer. If I have neglected my skin then I give my self a facial with ground up Epsom Salt and follow through with a steam facial.
Fish has Omega 3 which makes your skin glow naturally. You can either buy this or eat it in various fish such as : salmon, tilapia, etc.
Drink lots of water---this is how your body gets rid of all the toxins----and your skin will appreciate it.
If this is something immediate that you need for an event--there are different makeups out there that have a subtle BRONZER in them. This makes your face look fresh and rejuvinated.

actually eat right and drink enough water.. and drink juices that are not from concentrate.
exercise... steam clean the face every once in a while.. massage it... :D
use cleansers that aren't hard on the skin, that won't dry it up.
meditate or do yoga to get that blood moving again... these are the best ways to get glowing.
:D
a steam shower and rubbing your face with a cloth in circular motions get rid of that dull skin and brings out the fresher more living skin to the surface.. and unclogs pores.. :D

Sun exposure causes damage, but a tan always looks good. I advise you follow the advise of everyone else here in addition to using self tanner. Loreal face towelets are fabulous. Better than any other self tanner I have used. Pre-natal vitamins also help! Good luck!

Diet and exercise are so important. Make sure that you are getting plenty of water-not soda, water. I like to mix a bit of foundation with moisturizer or serum, this indeed gives me a glowy look.
