Why are you asking, you already KNWO it.
It's up to you to encourage him to use his pot,
to underline how great he is in succeeding to use it,
how you are enjoying to see he is so great to do it.
Then he will be encouraged, that's the only thing that counts.
Be clever: If he fails, DO NOT MENTION IT. Never talk about !
Got it ? do NOT mention it. NEVER ! ! !

I think that every child has his/her own time to be potty trained. A friend of mine tried to potty train her daughter at age 1 and it took the little girl a long time to learn (two to three months). On the other hand my daughter was trained at 24 months and it took her a just week to learn. 21 months is a good time to learn, considering that it is still summer and therefore warm enough for him to feel wet and uncomfortable for a while. Once he realizes he can avoid being wet by using the potty, he will do so. Try sitting him on the potty every day at the time he usually does No. 2. Make a big fuss and praise him when he does in the potty. He will learn soon enough

Taking off a dirty diaper is only on sign of readiness. Is he dry after his naps, and when he wakes up in the mornings. If you want to start him consistency is the answer. You have to watch for signs all day. Try this every morning when he awakes try putting him on the potty if he don't like the potty Buy a child's seat that go's over the toilet seat. Also have a potty in the room where he like to play. If all else fails wait a few more months, every child is different. Remember he is only 21 Months old, most children are two and older.

you can try but hes still to young boys dont normally train til after age three read through the links provided for ways to start. this is what i did with my son. the key is consistency. do the same thing every day at the same times.with my son i TOOK him one an hour and made him sit on the potty. also buy a potty chair this way his feet are on the floor. introduce the potty at bathtime. make him sit on it while his bath is being drawn. my son always went before is bath. after that take him every hour to the potty and have him sit for atleast 5 minutes. if he goes praise him. sing dance go nuts. they love praisei also found making a sticker chart and putting a sticker on every time he pottied worked but not long. try different things and be prepared for failure. it will happen at first. good luck.

Sure. Get him his own potty and let him run about naked. When he starts to go encourage him to the potty and make it a fun thing to use.
21 months is a good age. We have just started with my daughter (18 months) and she is starting to get it.

just try sitting him on the big toilet and see what his reaction is, dont push it though you may put him off completely, you will never know when he is ready, only he will know!
