A few months ago, I had two moles removed. The doctor told me to expect some scarring, but I sort of expected the scars to be the typical whitish ones. Instead, I've got dark (almost black) spots where the moles used to be. Does this sound abnormal?

I had two moles removed a few months ago too and I'm currently seeing the same result. I went back a few weeks ago for a follow up and the doctor told me that the moles were growing back

i have olive skin and scars are almost always dark...i think its normal depending on your skin pigmentation.

Aloe Vera is excellent for treatment of fresh wounds and scars. If you can find the plant, squeeze the leaf and apply the juice to the scar. Else, apply Aloe Vera Gel. Also, apply lemon juice to the scar. Lemon juice is a natural bleach and should help. Also cocoa butter helps fade them.

I had some really dark scars, and I took some vitamin e oil and applied it to my scars. It fades them, and now I have no more scars. =)

Hey thanks for the info! I am about to go threw that procedure. I was told to use cocoa butter that will eventually lighten the spots over time. If you are a darker complexioned person cocoa butter does help but it will work over time.......
