It can't. He's either being spiritually oppressed (if he's a believer) or he's being demon possessed (can only happen to non believers). If he has sense enough to know that it's satan, then he should have sense enough to call on the name of Jesus and pray for deliverance. Deliverance came through the cross, He just has to believe it and accept it. The finished works of the cross has to ever be the object of his faith. You're absolutely right; God can save, heal, and deliver.

I know exactly how you feel. Some people never stop loving someone no matter how much they put them through, it does hurt. You sound exactly like me, but I dont think getting him back is the right thing to do. Listen to Riding Solo a couple times sing and dance your heart out.. have fun with your friends. On facebook there is a page that you can like that is "An ex is an EXample of what you shouldnt have in the future" in some cases thats correct in others its not. I'm a strong believer that what is meant to be will happen, and that you never truely get over someone until you find someone else. and you have to let go of the wrong person to find the right one. Just have fun, theres always someone better believe it or not.

What was the diagonosis? Is he schizophenic? If you get that diagnosis you will thing Satan has your mind. It is very common because with this disease you hear voices in your head (even telling you to do bad things), you can talk back to these voices, you are paranoid and thing everyone is out to get you, you see things that are not really there, and it causes depression. Many do not want to leave there home. It creates fear and repression. Many think the Devil is causing it when it actually is a bad trigger in the mind. It can be hereditary but it can come through from a relative from many many years ago. It can skip generations.
Medication is really the only way to treat this disease. They are mostly harmless but these voices can get them to do things they dont normally do and suicide is a big problem.
It is not Satan. But prayer works wonders. God has a plan for each of us and unfortunately this was part of the plan for your son. It does not mean it will be with him forever as I do believe highly that prayer can help. He needs to pray (which is hard as he gets distracted by the voices) but you and your church need to pray also. Prayer in numbers work.
Since it is a medical problem he should stay on his drugs. Many times the patient thinks they are cured (after taking meds a while) just to have it all reoccur.
He can live a normal life on meds and believe me the power of PRAY is your best hope. Dont ever give up on HOPE.

Dear Sister in Christ,
You have poured your Heart out here, and don't need the Abuse some to foolish, or immature to care will heap on you.
I am a Minister with the Church Of God. We believe in Healing, and you should continue believing for your Son's Healing. But you also need to continue his Medication. It is not a lack of Faith to use the resources God has provided for us. That includes Doctors, Hospitals, and Medicines.
I have worked in the Mental Health field for 28 years. I have seen all sorts of problems that could only be explained as Demon Possession, but there is also very real conditions that are not caused by Demons, they are a dysfunction of the Brain. They can be caused by Drugs, and other abused substances, or an injury.
From my own experience, I know that Satan will Manipulate these situations. So, keep your Sun on his Medications, and also keep him in The WORD Of God, and Prayer. If you don't go to a Pentecostal Church, find a Church Of God, and tell the Pastor what you have shared here, and seek Prayer from the Church.
I will be Praying for you ! You may also wish to post a prayer request on this site:

God indeed is a healer. God can indeed heal your son. The question is, "What is God's will in this case?". Is it for your son to know Him more? You may have the faith to move mountains, but does he? It may be God is going to use him, or you, during this condition. God knows. There is a purpose for everything under the heavens. Trust that He is in control, regardless of what our own will and desires may be. It may seem hard to bear, but He will make a way, and it will be His way.
We have a small home group we belong to that has an outreach to a local group home of some challenged people like your son. They also hate taking the meds, but they know that it allows them to function better, to think clearer. Some have a wonderful childlike faith in God. They have caused me to reassess some of my beliefs. Some have come to know the Lord through their trails. Some have come to a point were the meds were no longer required, through what I know was the Lord's intervention. There may be a local church where you are that are involved, like our group. There may be a Christian support group that you could attend, to help you in this situation. Know you are not alone in this... that others, with other medical conditions, have gone through. I hope this brings you some comfort and hope.

Always keep up your faith but also remember that God gave these doctors the knowledge to help. I have seen people in the part of the country I live in that didn't believe in doctors. Needless to say I have seen one child die from appendicitis which could have easily been taken care of if only his parents had taken him to the hospital. Another was burned over much of his body from gasoline explosion and the only reason he got help is because a neighbor saw it and called the police. The parents were determined to let him lie in pain but thank God for nosy neighbors. Satan is real but with your faith and the help of the doctors I'm sure you'll find an answer. Don't give up hope because that's all we really have. If the meds are helping that should speak volumes itself. God bless you and you're in my prayers.

Of course God will help you in any way he can, however, relying on his power too much isn't good. Think about it, there are 6 billion people in the world asking for his help and he cannot use ALL of his power onto one person but to as many as 500 people per second.
Your son is seriously ill, he can't say satan is controlling him unless he has done an evil deed for him. has he done any? if he has then you should better pray the rosary and ask for Mother Mary and Jesus to guide your son to be relieved from satan's destruction on your son.
Keep him on the medication, do what you can to SAVE his life and tell him that you are only satan's follower if you purposely hurt or kill another fellow person either emotional to physical. Keep your son from believing in the devil and let him pray everyday because prayer is the most powerful type of communication to God.

Satan and the demonic realm are spiritual beings (pneumatic forms, e.g. "spirit") capable of occupying "flesh" (soma, e.g. the "body"), the physiological nature, and entirely capable of "manipulating" it, including effecting the psychological capacity (psyche, e.g. the “mind”) by influencing neurological sensors, the neurons, and the under-stimulation or over-stimulation of the wide variety of chemicals produced within the brain, consequently creating an imbalance, or irregular release, of normal neurological chemicals and their inter-reactions. The Neuro-medications provide mental re-equilibrium by compensating for either the chemical deficiency that is being demonically under-stimulated, or the chemical saturation that is being demonically over-stimulated.
Typical Christians think that once you become "Born-Again" that Satan cannot touch you. This is a very naive and erroneous belief that is paramount throughout all of Christendom, and simply not true. If anything, True Christians become satanic targets, though not victims of "demonic possession" (reserved for non-Christians), they can be victims of "demonic oppression", including “demonic residence” within the individual. When a particular Christian is unusually and radically affected in this manner it is a very clear indication that the individual poses as a primary future "threat" to the Satanic and demonic agenda in some profound capacity as a strategic instrument of God, and therefore, the Satanic "counter-strategy" aims to circumvent this by attacking and entirely debilitating the targeted individual, with the ultimate objective, of course, of inflicting the sting of death.
The demonic entry into the individual (Christian) is by an act of “sin”, a defilement of one’s personal covenant with Christ Jesus, providing and opportunity that the demonic realm instantly took full advantage to establish “demonic residence”. This could have been anything, but sexual sin is often the cause, particularly promiscuous sex or a sexual assault by another, where the act of engaging in a “sexual soul tie” opens a door to the individual’s spirit allowing “demonic transference”.
There are Christian psycho-therapists quite versed in both a neurological, psychological and/or psychiatric manner, as well as a Christian spiritual manner in treating the type of infliction that you have described.
Also, there are gifted "deliverance ministries" versed in delivering demonically afflicted persons from these occupying spirits.
God bless.

"The medication is making him focus more and he is now able to hold a very good conversation which he was able to do before."
Wow! that is God's working. Thank God and keep on taking the medication. God works in all different ways. In your case, God sent the healing through the medication. You prayed for healing, and God gave you healing. Be happy and thankful!

Your faith is being tried. Just hold on to God. Jesus is a healer. Trust that Jesus has healed him. Never let go of that faith in Jesus. Any illness is of Satan. Of course God allows things to happen. We don't always understand why. I wish I had an answer to your question. I will pray for you all.
