Have you tried Ikea? (www.ikea.com) I agree with "Sufi." I can not relate to you about this topic. I'm in a financial situation in which I am lucky to have a bed. I still have the dresser set that I has when I was a teen. It is solid wood. I plan on repainting it, rather than buying new. Two years old is practically new. Have you thought of refinishing furniture and just buying a new mattress? If the furniture is already damaged, try investing in high quality furniture that lasts longer than two years. If you want quality, IKEA may not be your best bet. They just have good prices.

The depends on what you mean by "bed set"

If you mean the furniture, if you buy a nice set it can last a long long time. If you mean mattresses, it would depend on the quality of the mattress...but 2 years isn't very long.
If you mean sheets/comforters/etc you can change those anytime you would like to have a new look in the room. I hope this helps.
A cheap place to buy whole bedrooms sets is Rooms to Go.

When it comes to casegoods, quality really is most important. If you purchased a bedroom set made with laminate and furniture board, you should feel comfortable replacing it anytime. The price of 4pc sets like this range between $700 and $1100. If you take time to save for a solid wood bedroom set, however, it will be something with lasting beauty and generational quality. Traditional and clean lined styles are timeless pieces that should be purchased in quality hardwoods. If you stick to laminate sets, you can purchase trendy items without much worry.

Keep the bed just change the top mattress every 5 to 6 years, unless its all stained up and you tend to roll towards one side of the bed more. Paint your frame, change the looks of your furniture. Have fun doing this. Try Odd Lots on mattress, starting from $99.00 and up depending on size.

I think the perfect bed size is when your toes are at least 5 inches from the end
