I have a guy friend that I really like. He is a barber and I would like to surprise him by sending a gift to him at his job. Part of me wants it to be a sweet jesture and the other part wants it to be a little humorous. So, would roses and a funny comment be ok for a guy?

I am a girl but i love the idea, sounds sweet. I think you could make the card really funny too...roses are red, violets are blue, i rather like you so this buds for you!!!! just a dumb idea, sure you can come up with your own...i would go for it...good luck.

If you're just a friend then I'd do something a little more guyish like a cookie basket. Anything that comes with food is a good thing to a man!! I'd only send roses if you're romantically involved.

I HATE roses for a guy. My bf would give me flowers, and I loved it! BUT, they just die anyway, so why not a plant. Everyone loves plants... but not girly, somethign sophistacated... But ditto on the food thing, GUYS LOVE FOOD. You can cook it, but I wouldn't cook someone food for a gift... Order, like, take-out from Pappadeux (I live in Dallas).... it's seafood, and I know he likes shrimp. But, really... guys like stuff like pocket knives (which are good luck, and if u give him, say, an oldtimer, he owes you a dime, traditionally.) OK ditto again the liqour... He would love, and I suggest a bottle of Scotch, Whiskey or Bourbon. Lastly, we buy my dad candles, kinda a girly thing, but he LOVES them... suggest White Barn Candle Co. Peace!

I've given roses before. He had no problems with it, but the other people around him kept asking him who he got them for. People are close minded that way, they don't assume a lady will give a man roses.

Yes i give my guy flowers with a little teddy bear in them, i give him blue cause there his favorite color, so if you do give him i would not give him red though. Yellow is a masculine color and it stands for friendship for a humor kinda standing.

well it could work but something a little more useful that he likes would be much better. does he like cigars how about golf tennis what about fishing or hunting something along those lines would be much better.
