many men feel that they have to be the provider...
to do this, they feel that they must be better at certain things...
and the one's that take this stuff to far, are idiots:)
i feel this way a little, but it doesn't have to be financial, or anything like that, i just want to be able to take care of my girl... even if it's just emmotionaly:) I love her, and want her to be happy... she's asked me to be more aggressive:) So I'm trying... I'm going to be going to pick up a paddle to 'punnish' her soon:)

It is human nature. BUT, I think there is an inate sense to want to "beat" a woman for the mere sake of ego. Gee, how would that make a man look to get beaten my a woman. In my instance, my husband and I are competitive people, but when we compete against eachother it is a little more. But, it never turns into a fight. We know where to draw the line.

Women are beautiful & mysterious creatures, highly prized and sought after by all men....
It is entirely logical that upon seeing one of these beatiful and desireable women, that more than one man would want her
and compete with other men for her favor and attention...

Jealousy. Men want to FEEL like men. So when they since a woman is doing better than them they don't want to be outdone. Therefore they compete.

What do you mean, Wouldn't your question be better stated if it was the other way around, Lady golfers trying to compete with the Men, you don't see it vice versa, girls try to play football, you don't see boys trying to get on the girls basketball teams? what the heck do you mean
