I'm from Philly, live and work in the Philly area, and I can say that there are a lot of people around here who are NOT fans of Philly sports teams because they can't stand the way the fans act. If you've ever been to an Eagles game, there is no shortage of drunk, obnoxious guys to ruin the game for you. I don't know that any of this is particular to Philly and doesn't happen in other cities, but yeah, I agree with you. Everyone would rather celebrate and party in Center City than sit around and calmly discuss the advantages of victory, but a little bit of decency in partying goes a long way. You're right, it's not an atmosphere for children or Pre-Teens. And I agree, flashing your boobs or overturning cars on the 11:00 news doesn't exactly scream "hire me".

1) They don't have as much self-respect on Mardi Gras when they've gotten sloshed and
2) Beads. They just want more beads than anyone else. It's a competition against other women, not for the fun of showing off to knuckle-dragging men.

I agree with you 100%! What does flashing boobs have anything to do with baseball and true celebration of a person's favorite team??? I never got that either, but apparently, some women don't have much respect for themselves to keep their shirts on. Anyhoo, as far as trashing our city goes, its disgusting and its pointless. Again, how does trashing of Philly show celebration of our team?? I can bet you that most of us dread local team victories because some ignorant @$$holes use this time to just be plain criminal. I can bet you most of Philly is hoping Phillies will lose the championship just to avoid all this mess. Its so retarded and another thing, don't call yourself modest, call yourself NORMAL.

#1, it's for beads at mardi gras. #2 people find that very unacceptable. #3, it would probably be far too cold. #4 i personally think it's stupid for girls to do that.

Some women are just waiting for an excuse to go ape. Men sometimes do this also, but rarely.
Take "Girls Gone Wild." Some idiot shows up with a camera, and presto! out comes the raunchy behavior. It wasn't there before he showed up, but the camera created that "time to perform" atmosphere.
Take the Halloween party night before last- For some reason, Halloween is no longer (to women) "Scary." it's "Slutty." So they dress up like anything that let's them expose as much skin as possible and hump each other on the dance floor.
Why? I think we really have programmed these women to believe that sex is the most important thing they have going for them. Yet over that, a layer that says "respectable." So on occasions where the "Respectable" layer of software can be turned off, the "Look at me, pay attention to me!" comes out as sexual "pull."
Here's a lab study you can do. Go to a night club with a video camera, and tell some girls you're preparing a "Feature" for the Sundance Film Festival, you're collecting some "Party video," and would they mind if you shot some of them? Tell them that you need to get all them on camera at the end saying their name and phone number so you can contact them to sign a release IF YOU SELECT THEM. Pick the girls that have spent the most time making themselves look attractive. Suddenly you've made it a "competition" to be picked to be in a "Feature Film."
Watch what happens next.

People tend to do things when they're drunk that they wouldn't do otherwise. Also, at Mardi Gras, they're sort of "preconditioned" that this is an acceptable behaviour.

From what I've been told... I flashed mine a couple times Sat. night... I think if men can go topless, women should be able to go topless also..
