Sounds like good, pure unconditional love and grace to me. Grace in the midst of ugliness, darkness and tragedy. Even the brutal ugliness of murder. Only God could do that. The rest of us are too weak and carnal.

*Just watches for a while*
You do realise, don't you.... that "good" and "evil" are merely human fabrications devoid of any universal meaning.... Heck, there isn't even a single consistant meaning for either shared by as many as two people on this whole planet.
Thats pretty p!ss-poor if you ask me.
So basically.... its neither.
Jesus was apparently a very forgiving guy.... which is precisely why his identity has been raped and everything about him exploited. Nice, kind, forgiving people get exploited.... walked all over like door-mats. The only way to truly survive in this world is to compete..... To out-do all others and treat all men as rivals is the only way to live.
That doesn't mean that none of them are worthy of respect. One can respect one's rivals and competition.... and strong respect can be a close thing to friendship.... but at the end of the day, its you or them....
Thats something Jesus never understood...

Well His death does not allow people to - kill, rape, cheat, etc. Only that forgiveness is given IF the sinner is truly honest.
You are looking at this with the emotional human view.
Forgiveness- which is what this is about is freely given to anyone who asks But, does that forgiveness from God mean there are no consequences- NO. If you murder you might be put to death by the state. If you rape- you might be raped in prison.
See nonbelievers think it is so simplistic- and it is- and it is not.
Forgiveness is a gift that we truly do not deserve.

Jesus died for us all even the victim had sins...no man is perfect that is why Jesus died. If the victim had been perfect Jesus would not have needed to die as all would have been capable of being perfect. the fact is no man can atain perfection except through God by the atonement provided by Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price for all who accept his atonement even those who nailed him to the cross...we all had a part in HIS death...those that accept the atonement.

There is no murder here. You are misinformed. Jesus Christ willingly laid down his life for you and me - He loves us. It was because of His love that He gave His life for you. Please try to understand this. There is no murder here. God is love but He is just and there is a judgment for your sin and mine. The only way that a Holy God can allow you into Heaven is through Jesus Christ's death - He was a Lamb, unblemished, without sin - who gave His life for you/me. Jesus Christ became sin that was nailed to the cross - your sin and mine. God accepted that Sacrifice so that you and I could have Eternal Life. We would all perish without Jesus. Don't you see?? There is no evil with God - there is only love. Open your eyes and heart. Trust Jesus - He is waiting for you. Blessings.

The victim is just as guilty. Remember that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jesus died for the sins of man. That through Him we all have salvation and receive eternal life ... if we believe. It was His grace.
It's perfect love ... that was it is.
