Depends. While the atypical antipsychotics are very effective, they don't work completely for everyone. It may require a different AAP or maybe a cocktail of them to work. Some folks even need to go to the old school antipsychotics to get something that works (though the side effects can be sucky).

My brother has it and the delusions are gone if the meds are working. But if he drinks too much liquid, it messes up the balance.

yes but usually he can cope with it .
