I just dyed my hair a med/dark brown from a natural red color i want to put strikes in it but i don't know what color to do. any ideas

I would go for a light caramel color....if you are a natural red head then I think that would go great with your complexion.

Your best bet is to highlite it in more than one shade. For example...go with a honey blonde and a lighter tone....or you could even do highlites and low lights.....for example a darker mocha brown, honey blonde and light blonde. Highlites look more natural when you do not go with one color. My question though is why you covered up natural red hair to begin with???? Most would kill for natural red hair.

highlite it with a color that is a couple shades lighter then the base color. and put a lot of skinny highlights so it wont look funky or un-natural

Copper or some colour with a dark reddish tinge

omg i had my hair that color before and i put carmel blonde color!! it is soooo cutethose two colors are reely cute together!!

try copper, honey, and blonde.
