I'm not sure if I am taking this question the right way...but...if you mean our path of duty as our path of life or referring to the fact that life isn't easy then I will answer.

Everything isn't coming up roses because we are not solely here for our own enjoyment. We are here to guide and be guided and learn from this life something. What that something is takes a deeper look into ourselves and what we feel our purpose is here. Life becomes easier when people realize that it is not always supposed to be the theory of "ME ME ME!". This does not mean that we are not supposed to enjoy anything or ever be happy but enjoying life is not supposed to be on the top of our list.

Roses grow in well nurtured soil. The nurture of the soil of your heart's love will produce roses every time. Duty is a cold comfort to receive in place of love.
