I like more unusual names..... not the common ones like Jack or Matthew.

For those of you out there...... Hate is a pretty powerful word! I would not like to see your kids names- the most common boring ones out there. Dont be so harsh!!!! Gosh!

Keelan
Gender: Feminine & Masculine
Usage: Irish
Anglicized form of CAOILFHIONN, sometimes used as a masculine name.

CAOILFHIONN
Gender: Feminine
Usage: Irish
Pronounced: KEE-lin
Derived from the Gaelic elements caol "slender" and fionn "fair". This was the name of several Irish saints.

Maddox
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English
From a Welsh surname meaning "son of MADOC".

MADOC
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Welsh
Possibly means "fortunate" in Welsh.

I don't really care for either one of these names. I think of Keelan as a girls name and when I hear the name Maddox it immediately makes me think of Angelina Jolie's kid.

They're both good names, but I like Maddox better. It sounds more like a boy's name to me. Keelan could be for either sex.

Yuck, where did you come up with these names. I don't think you should name your son such an unusual name. Trust me he wont like it, and probably will want the kids to call him something else. I dont know if this name is an ethnic name if so I am sorry if I offended you, but in america this is considered very unusual.

I don't think you should name your son Maddox unless it has some significant meaning to you...it seems kind of Copy-catish because of Angelina Jolie's, son. Please don't be offended by what I say. Obviously it's completly up to you. I think that original names are cool. Your kids will grow into it and anyone who makes fun of it will get over it.
My daughter's name is Anastacia Rain.
Good luck!

Maddox, but I would like KEENAN, better than Keelan.

I guess you can tell from my screen name what my son's name is - Caleb.
