i own a repair shop, and one of the most dependable cars you can buy today is a Toyota corolla there built to last a long time, and repairs are cheap when they do need to be worked on,but there probably one of the best little cars on the road today, i do a ;ot of work on different types of cars and trucks ans the corollas just don't give that much trouble, the ones that usually work on have a lot of miles on them and they just keep in going,if i was looking for a really good cheap reliable car for a good price i think i would choose a corolla, one would last a long time if taken care of,good luck,i hope this help,s.

I have had Toyotas and Nissans and love them both my nissan pickup had 300,000 miles on it and the motor is still going the body rusted down. Hubby had a Nissan Pathfinder with 250,000 miles on it when he sold it now we both have toyota corollas both with way over 100,000 miles on them with no problems. P.S hubby is a mechanic and says to stay away from any Ford with a 3.8 motor they blow head gaskets badly.
