churches are run by people. Not by God. This is what I believe.
When a place preaches Fear , they preach the oppositte of love.
Love is God, God does Not exist within anything else.
Fear is Not Love.
Those whom tell others they are going to hell, will be sent there , themselves, for doing somthing in the name of Jesus, when it is the oppossite of what He wants.
Jesus Loves All, and accpets All. For just as the story he told once , about the son returning to the Father, and the brother getting jelous.
This too is how it will be with the christians and the rest of the people.
christians act like the jelous brother, and yet the Father will always accept the other son back, with open arms.

I stopped going to church after my pastor said that we should not be tolerant of other religions. That we should stand up for what we believe in and let them know they are wrong. He was speaking, even to fellow Christian churches like Baptist, Lutheran, etc. And then also, Muslim, Mormon...
I've always wondered about what you just said. I've come to this conclusion. Most religions are based on the same stories. I know this might upset some people, but it's true. Even Muslim, if you study the Koran, there's even a story that's almost line for line of Noah's arc.
I personnaly don't think that any of us have got it right.
There's been so much loss in translation over thousands of years, there's no way way for us to really know. But we can have faith. We can pray for those who don't. Even for lives that we lose so young, to go on in peace. I still believe, and I live my life the best I can, knowing that there's people who look up to me. Jesus never went around trying to curse others, but he did lead a life of example. He was NOT always preaching, but he was always teaching.
I try and do the same, although, I am no where near perfect.
Don't let what your preacher say make you lose faith, just search within and you'll be fine.
It took me a few years to be okay with my faith and religion after what the pastor said, I hope you get their quicker.
Best of luck to you!

First of all, churches don't send people to hell. People don't get to make that decision for you.
Second, you may hear of different types of hell. Some say it's a burning hole with nothing but miser. Dante says it's nine levels with different types of torture. I believe it is simply an abscense of God.
Don't let anyone else tell you what to believe. Now that you've heard about Christianity, I hope you'll listen to God's message. But, you must understand that God uses people to deliver that message and sometimes those people get it wrong.
Believe what makes your heart glad. Don't worry about hell and ignore those who tell you that's where you're headed. It's not their decision to make.

Churches don't send anyone to hell. A person has to send himself to hell. The churches offer guidance regarding the best way to avoid doing that. But the choice is still up to the individual.

To be honest i dont think that churches have any power whatsoever to send you to hell.Only God has the power to do that. If your preacher is saying them words then find another church. He may be controlled by the devil and it might be a cult to get you trapped within.

1) You will be judged according to your works if you have not Christ, which means you will fall short of the Glory of God and cannot be with Him for eternity.
2) Christians do not send people to hell, people choose to reject Christ and have to face the judgment seat of Christ and will be sentenced to hell. Christians have no power to send people to hell.

Neither people nor churches can send other people to hell. Hell is a state of mind in the afterlife in which you are dissatisfied with the way you lived your life.
Christians who "send people to hell" are passing judgements that are not their's to pass. Christ taught many times against passing this sort of judgement.
To me, Christianity, is about treating everyone with love and respect since they are God's children. Christians should not concern themselves with who "is going to hell."
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Nobody is exempt from Hell until they accept Jesus, and die.
If your preacher said this I feel sorry for him, because he himself will be in for an eternity in Hell for misleading his congregation.

Churches do not send people to hell,,How rediculous!!
Churches need money to stay open, so how do you expect a church to remain open?
What are you saying, ? That Churches should operate freely without cost? how will it be paid for?
Answer please

You are sadly mistaken Pal.. Chistians are sending no one to hell.
According to Jesus you make the choice where you will spend eternity...heaven or Hell ....It is YOUR choice ... no one elses....and it is based on what you do with Jesus Christ.
