I don't mean to step on toes here, but after answering so many questions I have to wonder why are there so many people who have such a hatred for Christianity? Is it because of the people, or the theology?

If we talk about pagans, that's okay.
If we talk about Catholicism, that's okay.
If we talk about Islam, that's okay.
If we talk about Satanism, that's okay.
But,if we talk about Jesus Christ, his ministry, his death, and his resurrection.Everybody goes haywire.Everybody has this big problem with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the best documented trials and execution on the books.Studying it has turned hairline atheists to men of God instantly.
As the 'ol sayin' goes, you can do what you want. But eventually, you have to meet the maker.

Both. I feel the Bible is filled with too many contradictions to follow. And, there are those who purport their religion is the only true religion. All others will go to hell.

Jesus taught beautiful things which have been complicated by man. It seems as simple as do unto others as you would have them do unto you. But, man throws in complex rituals and tithes for various reasons, including a need for ritual worship and power.

The Christian people are another story. There are plenty who worship and do not push their beliefs on others and happily answer questions with regard to their faith without preaching. Others try to make you feel damned for not believing exactly how they believe. It's these Christians I find disrespectful and bigoted.

So, while I do not agree with the religion. I have no problem with those who worship as long as they keep it to themselves.

It's not hatred, for real hatred check out those good Christians who spew bile here sometimes.

A mild dislike of people preaching nonsense, certainly.

The theology. I have nothing against most Christians, and those I do have something against, I only have their prosetylism against them, not against the person himself or herself.

It is not morally acceptable to hate people. It is, however, acceptable to hate ideas, and I view Christianity as dangerous as I view Islam, and I consider both to be the greatest dangers humanity has ever known.

both
personally...I have been there done that...It's not for me. It's like instead of getting into an intelligent conversation about different ideas...they take on an I'm right and that's all there is to it. Even if you are able to explain what you believe or don't believe to them you wind up with a very strong negative reaction.

I think what you see as "hatred" toward Christianity is often simply the expression of valid criticisms.

From my perspective, Christianity is a massive system of lies designed to enslave the minds of the entire human race. I see nothing virtuous about that.
