Is ignorance a pre-requirement of religion? Christian web sites will lie about evidence of Jesus and also use proven pious frauds (Christians lying? Isn't that a sin?) And then Christians will come in chats and spread these lies making them liars and sinners themselves without even checking out the facts at their local historical center. The fact is, other than the bible (a religious book) there is no proof Jesus existed. Spreading more lies makes you Satan's buddy.....lol. (p.s don't even bring up more lies like Josephus who never saw Jesus, turned to Christianity, wrote about Jesus, and was a mere baby at the time (born 37 A.D.).....or you prove you work for satan).

Hope, identity, ingrained belief.

So you are that convinced that the Bible and Josephus are wrong and cannot be trusted as a source? Why?

Actually, the Bible is a collection of 66 different books by different authors. Just taking the NT, 27 books by 9 different authors. Each refers to Jesus. James was written by Jesus' brother!

How come Tacitus Annals, Homer's Illiad, Ceasar's Galactic Wars, et all are all "accepted" as historical by aethists, but the Bible (which actually is a more reliable document, regardless of what you believe about God) is thrown out as trash.

Who is being deceived?

Get off the guilt trips, will ya. (i.e. lies, sin, satan) They won't work. Just stick with the facts when presenting your case.

The ignorance is on your part for thinking the evidence of Jesus is found in any historical book. It is found within the believer. We are talking of a living, dynamic being that becomes one with those who accept who Christ is and what He has done for us all. We are not talking of some stale religious dogma or doctrine here. Just a fact that millions of people over thousands of years have found to be true.

As the first answerer remarked..... there are certain other records that suggest that there was indeed a person possibly by the name of Jesus who may well be the individual the bible refers to...... Its the nature of that person that there is no reliable evidence for, one way or another.... We can only assume by default that Jesus was in fact a completely natural human being....

If Jesus had never existed, the Qur'an would not mention him and his miraculous birth and death. Remember that muslims and Christians disagree on a number of things, but not on the conception and birth of Christ. Did I hear you say "conspiracy"? Impossible!

You are incorrect on every point.

Jesus is a well documented historical and religious figure.

He is as historically proven as any person in history, and his Church has also continually testified to his existence since the very beginning.

If you can't bring yourself to accept it, that's your problem.

Why do some people claim that there is no evidence for Christ when there is? Yes, I will admit there is no hard proof fact that He was who He said He was, but there is plenty of evidence to prove that He once walked the earth.

Why do you hate Christians so much? The only thing you're doing is spreading the hate. Please stop. Christians and atheists can indeed share the world and get along. Let's just agree to disagree.
