IMO - no. No need to drug a kid.
Need to find out why they aren't sleeping. Perhaps the kid just needs to get out and run/play for a few hours before bedtime to wear himself out so he will sleep.
Seems to be too much energy and not enough outlets for kids these days. Usually watching tv or whatever and not active enough to cause to be tired.

It relies upon on how drained she is. She's consistently been nursed to sleep (she grew to become one million this week), often it takes 10-half-hour, yet in the previous couple of days that is been longer, greater like an hour, i assume that is by way of fact she only mastered walking and further maximum of recent words to her very own language, slumbering might desire to be incredibly uninteresting for her now:) the only time I observed it as a "concern" replace into on Tuesday, and that's by way of fact my ear an infection has decrease back for the 0.33 time in 2 months, I had an extremely busy and tiring day at paintings and that i many times felt crap. After just about an hour and one million/2 of attempting to get her to sleep i replace into on the brink of tears. yet often I take exhilaration in each and every minute i will spend along with her, be it play-time or nursing to sleep, probably by way of fact I paintings finished time and don't see her as much as i might desire to. Sorry for the long tale:)

I take trazadone for sleep.....It is a safe drug....You can not become addicted to trazadone and it has really really helped me. While I don;t encouage any one to put their children on meds, a dr apparently beleives this may help.

5 year olds don't generally have sleeping problems unless traumatized, or jacked up on caffeine/sugar.
