An orgy is basically a sex party with allot of people you do or do not know. More often than not there are more men than women and the women tend to be, shall we say, not quite foxes. Consider yourself lucky you didn't go especially with a girl that you care about. Casual sex, while exciting for the moment is really pretty empty emotionally.

If you and your girl wanted to go then speak up. Let them know next time an invite like that comes along to let you know so you can go. My only guess is that you and your girl were not invited is because you have a girlfriend. Normally that would mean that the relationship is exclusive, not open.
