i'm having my belly button pierced for my 14th birthday and i was wondering should i have it done at the top or bottom, which one looks best?

I got my belly button pierced for my 15th birthday. Go for the top to start with, I got two more on the bottom for my 16th. When you are getting it done, they will make a little mark in purple pen and ask you if you think it's center. Really, Really, look hard and ask them to fix it if it isn't. I had to get mine redone a couple of months later because it wasn't center. Also, express your concern about it being in deep enough, if they don't put it through enough skin it could grown out.

I had it pierced at the top, but ended up taking it out about 2 years later because I didn't like it. I don't necessarily like the one's on the bottom that I've seen. Just think about whether you really want this hole in your body for the rest of your life and then where you would be most comfortable with it. If you like it then thats all that matters.

top looks better means the piercing sits on your belly button also you need to take an adult with you when you are getting it done as they do not do it for people under 16yrs unless they have a parent or guardian sign the form. ps. it doesnt hurt but make sure you keep it clean for the 1st week or so. you will get instructions on how to care for it when you get it done.

top there is more skin for the piercing to heal into where as the bottom is a serface piercing and is more likely to grow out

Definatly the top, so that the jewlery can hang. But the top is played out, everyone has a top piercing. I would get it on the side. Go Nuttie.

i have both top and bottom pierced, and they both look really good. but if your just going to get one i'd say the top would look best .

Top is most common, top AND bottom are also becoming a common sight. I have three on the top and three on the bottom of mine, so personally, seeing one navel piercing is odd to me. Do whatever you like. You can always take it out if you don't like it and try elsewhere.

Well, if you're going to conform to what everyone expects then get it on the top. Be different though. The bottom is pretty cool and not everyone has it.

have it done in the top that's where my 13 year old daughter has it and it looks better than her cousins who's is on the bottom
