Hindus never worship any plants / stones / idols, They worship to god only, the reason they use plants / idols at the time of worshipping is for visualizing or imagine the presence of god on it.
Hindus believe everything is originated from a single sole (Paramatma) and every leaving element of this universe is a part of that soul even it may good or bad, the all good parts of that soal is god and the other is demon or evil. but infect both are part a the main soul or paramatma. So Hindus use most of all things which helps this planet to grow like water, mountains or plants at the time of worshipping gods to imagine the power of supreme personality. But it does not mean they are worshipping that plants / idols.
I can give you one more example - that in all part of the world every religion has a practice to put photograph of dead men's in there houses even in coins / currency notes (Like Pakistani puts picture of Jinnah on there currency notes) whom they do respect. Do you really believe that it’s really that person instead of paper and some color used for printing. No dear; its based on our power of imagination. If someone can believe that the picture of his dead father/mother is not just some paper and color for printing, its there parents / loved one. Then there is no harm to imagine the supreme god on few of his beautiful creations like plants or on his idols. Its fully based on believes.

We believe in omni presence of god ,God is for our good and the plants animals ,nature around makes you live in all the ways n means ,the one reason is conservation of plants and animals for the mans better survival.
vegiterianism has its own reasons ,all hindu religious,scientific,philosophical texts are in sanskrit which are very tough to pronounce if one is a nonvegiterian ,since it chages the composition of tongue and makes pronouncing the words tough and can even change the sound ,so the priestly and teaching class have forgoed the non-veg food for that and business class people for economical reasons.
We are not stupid but fore sighted and think scientific,we dont poke our nose into others matters and let others poke.

Hindus are excellent role models for all of society and are far better than you. I may not be hindu but I think that hindus are very nice people. One of my teachers was hindu. You are racist and prejudice and a very rude person. *flags*

like the plant "tulasi" have more powers in that people also used it for some treatments. praying the plants and animals is one other old beliefs now no people are pray with plants.in india people has more blind beliefs , it is the one of the beliefs.
