Wll I have always been good, but 5 1/2 year ago when I was preganant with my daughter I got an absess in my tooth and everytime I would go to the dentist I would go into labor-haha. The dentist would not touch me with a ten foot poll. I hjad to suffer thru constatantly gettting rid of it then it coming back. Finally my whole tooth broke off except the roots. By then it was too late to save my tooth. I was so mad!! There really wasn't anything anyone could do since I could hardly leave the house for fear of going into labor. Now I try to get in twice a year. I am overdue this year because of my husband changing jobs so I feel bad.

I was so afraid to go to the dentist, that I didn't. (Very bad childhood experiences at the dentist.) So when I was about 25, all my teeth were getting loose. I had to go in every week for about 6 months to have my teeth cleaned, but they saved each and every one of them. Now I have them checked twice a year. That was about 30 years ago.

I got braces when I was 14. I got periodontal disease in my 20's and had to have several scalings. I finally had "gum surgery" about 7 years ago. In all of that time my perfectly straight teeth moved due to the disease and I had spaces between my teeth and one of my teeth was longer than the other. I finally saved enough money and got them pulled and got a bridge 4 years ago. I am so very glad I did it - I was so embarrassed by my smile - I would never smile. Now I smile all the time! =)

I had a snaggle tooth my whole life and I didnt get it fixed till I was 19 and had to suffer in school with all the teasing my whole young years. Was never liked. My mom couldnt afford to fix it so I had to save for it.

If anyone has bad teeth for a long time I hope you get them fixed like I did and gain more confidence.
