First go through the stress full procces of booting with the choises menu the when the window finaly boots, do this

go to the c: drive system pertition then using the search for files and folders search for the file boot.ini (this file is usually hidden and as read only ) so to be able to adjust the boot choises menu right click the file then unmark the read only option then open it.
before you modify the file create a backup.
from there you will find two options one must be writen to include the windows setup option

delete the two last long lines then paste this sentence below:
"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn"

remember it should all be in one line then save the file as boot.ini IN the C: drive path should be
c:\boot.ini

remember this line works for the xp operating system try it out.
//
or the other option is to complete the second installation proccess .

when you install xp and it wasnt finished, your computer is always gonna try again to install xp or finish the installment. Now you just got to finish the installment. But windows Xp takes a long time to install on the computer so it may looks like it froze but really its still going on the background. So just leave it for a while. It should take about more than an hour to finish installment.

One question, when you formatted the pc did you type format c:/s? this gives you the option to boot from other operating systems.
There is a text boot up file in Windows, you can edit it so that it boots up properly, but sorry im not sure whats the name.

If it anoys you so much format it again and type format c:

That should work
