I dated my highschool boyfriend, Jeff, for 5 years, from the age of 17 til 22. We broke up a few times during our relationship, but always got back together after a few weeks or months. The end of our relationship came when I found out he was cheating on me with his best friend's girlfriend. I broke up with him and walked away from the situation. He dated her and I began dating someone else. Eventually he came back, broke up with the other girl because he still was in love with me and wanted to marry me. I told him I didnt forgive him and couldnt do it. We didnt talk for another 6 months, and I broke up with my boyfriend for several reasons. I couldnt stop thinking about Jeff, and still cant. As soon as he found out I was single, he came back again, and told me he wanted to marry me. I once again told him I was still too hurt and couldnt do it. We have not talked for 2 months. I am dating someone else, but cant get over him. What do I do? Its been 2 years since we were together.

Well, if you can get over him then maybe you two should date again. You don't have to marry him off the bat. If he is really the one you love and want to be with, then you need to talk to him. Try and work out your differences.

Maybe you two are destine to be together. If you really love this guy and can't get over him, you're hurting yourself as well. If you think it's meant for the two of you to be together, I wouldn't suggest marrying him right away. But maybe starting over, taking it slow. And letting him see how much he needs you in his life.
