I have a male cat that allowe kittens (brothers) to nurse on him, after the death of their mom.

and he nurtured them like his own, even though of course he could not produce milk.

Is that normal !!!!

Actually it is normal, Male cats will let kittens nurse from them evan though they can not produce milk. It's a insticnt to nurture the kittens in any way they can. In his mind he is helping them.

He sounds so sweet to provide comfort like that to his brothers. My stud cat, though he doesn't let them suckle, always washes & cuddles his kittens. And my Irish Setter will allow kittens to suckle from her - though she has no milk for them ... she doesn't even seem to bother if they knead with their paws - maybe kitten claws don't hurt quite so much?

The only thing I'm surprised at, with yours, is that he's the same age as they are.

I'd look on him as a wonderful asset, a cat in touch with his feminine, nurturing side.

He is not gay. some male cats have tender feelings for kittens. Some kill them, but I also knew a cat who took care of his younger brothers and sisters instead of their mom, and then he also brought his girlfriend along and took care of her babies too.

i thought final time i became at Wal-mart I observed formulation for kittens. yet provide your community one a decision and ask. yet much greater importantly call your community vet and spot if the Wal-mart formulation is okay to grant. they'd have another concepts. Yea its gonna be $$ yet once you adore your pets you will do what you could to grant for them. in case you cant locate the money for the vet call the shelter there's a vet on call which would be waiting to help too. stable success and congrats on the kittens.

1st, your cat's not gay. 2nd, some cats, although male, have a nurturing instinct like females. Don't worry about it. There's nothing wrong.

Do you think human gay men have babies nursing from them? Be more "correct" in your use of that word. It does not apply to cats.
