I bet the puppy is gorgeous .... could it be a 'Dougal'? I'm thinking of the Magic Roundabout Dog ... wasn't he brown? Or was he a sort of golden orange?

Still in the childrens programmes - how about 'Fraggle'? I seem to remember a dog in that, though he might have been blue, lol.

I'd also thought of 'Matt' (which is what he could resemble in later life if he's not brushed, tee hee). 'Boo' (well, it is nearly Halloween), 'Magnet' (because he is so cute, your boyfriend is going to get people coming over to talk to him everytime he takes the pup for a walk). 'Caramac' (possibly Mac for short, after the golden sort of chocolate bar), & 'Wilbur' (because, well, why not?)

Shame that you can't embed photos in this - I'd have loved to see a photo of the cutie (the pup not your boyfriend, lol)

Best wishes,

I like snappy names. It makes training them easier. For example, my last dog was called Sam (He retired to a beautiful farm last year). Old family dogs were called Sadie, Abigail and Lager. We had a cat called Riley. Mitch or Pit are good names for a male dog. Good luck deciding!

I was thinking he sounded like a Fred, and someone else has already said that, so that's encouraging!

Other than that, what about Poochie (everyone's favourite friend of Itchy and Scratchy)?
