Maybe I misunderstood but is Jimmy not your brother? If so u did absolutely nothing wrong. You are showing your brother u are there for him and if the bf cant understand that then he needs help. If anyone did anything wrong it was your bf who disappeared for a week without contact..........that is wrong. Boyfriends may come and go but family is family and if he cant accept that he needs to move on. You did the right thing

I'm assuming Jimmy is your brother's name.
Maybe, your boyfriend initially thought your note was directed at some other Jimmy, and that you were fooling around on him.
Anyone will sometimes experience a little insecurity within a relationship. That's just part of the game. The important thing is how we handle it. I think your boyfriend needs to grow up, and learn to just laugh at the situation.

First of all does your BF know who "jimmy" is? Your BF does need to calm down. He has a right to be upset, but unless he knows the whole story, there shouldn't be any frustration. It sounds to me like your BF is very jealous, or gets very nervous when you have a conversation with another guy. Let him calm down and then have a talk with him about what happened. If he can't get passed it, then I would think about seeing other guys.

Are you wrong for putting up an away message and saying, "Jimmy(your brother) I love you"? Hell no! Your boyfriend is being very jealous(not all that bad), but him not wanting to hear you out is making him sound like a little b....

He does know Jimmy is your brother right? ... Does he think you're into incest or something, lol?
I always say that the person who is quick to assume the worst from their partner, is the person who is guilty themselves.
And no, you didnt do anything wrong. Your boyfriend is acting immature for not hearing your side of the away message...and for not knowing jimmy is your brother. Have you brother tell him what it was all about.

You didn't do a thing wrong by telling your brother that you love him. Regardless of your relationship, your family is important to you and you obviously want them to be a part of your life and your boy has to understand that. It sounds an awful lot like your boyfriend is overreacting so just try to explain the situation to him. If he really cares about you he'll love you regardless.

Wait, you left an away message in refrence to your brother? NO! you did not do anything wrong. Your guy is acting strange, talk to him and ask him what the issue is. But if he is jelous about you and your brother, than his got some real problems.

First of all does your BF know your brother? And if so and he still got mad...... LOSE him. There are plenty of great guys out there that dont worry about petty crap like that. And you did nothing wrong by telling your brother you love him.

No you didn't, if everything you've said is the truth, I'd suggest you look for a bf that considers other things apart from himself
