Are there any real ways to do so? I just received one of those excercising bikes. If I get on the bike at least for an hour a day morning or evening, eat small meals througout the day, stop eating at least 3 hours before I go to bed and do 100 sit ups a day will this cause alot of weight loss?

Weight control is not instant? Its a life style! How long did it take for you to be what you are today? It is probably going to take at least three forth of that time to loose the extra weight. How ever, your set target will surely help your loose weight, but do not give it up. It needs an attitude and determination to change a life style, I am glad you have that in plenty. So keep going. Simple rules that i follow is i never eat outside, use the skipping rope in the house and skip for 10minutes daile, use the bike while i watch the news, drink plenty of water, and have plenty of veggies and fruits. Always look for stairs if you have to, and when you work out think of the muscles that are working for you, try and feel them, concentrate on your breathing and also feel the heart beat. It is better to be in the here and now while you are working out. Wish you all the best!

Maybe before christmas, MAYBE, but thanksgiving, thats just way to unhealthy. The proper weight loss amount for any given week is 3-8 pounds so 40 pounds might be a little excessive. But you may be able to pull it off with alot of hard work.

I recommend the South Beach Diet. You can get the book and it had great recipes in it. Yeah the first 2 weeks kinda suck but after you get passed that you get to eat other things. I love this diet and book. It really helped me to loose 20 pounds in 1 month so i would set my goal for new years because looseing that much weight in 3 weeks is not very healthy!

it's possible but you have to get real obsessed about it, almost to the point where it's unhealthy but then make sure you can get your sanity back once your goal is accomplished
