I'm having a hard time remembering, but how about
1)"Not everyone who sh**s on you is your enemy"
2)"Not everyone who gets you out of sh** is your friend"
3)"If you're warm and happy in a pile of sh**, shut the f*** up"

hmmm I thought it went like this:
Once upon a time there was a nonconforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter. However, soon the weather turned so cold that he reluctantly started to fly south. In a short time ice began to form on his wings and he fell to earth in a barnyard, almost frozen. A cow passed by and crapped on the little sparrow.
The sparrow thought it was the end. But the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy, able to breathe, he started to sing.
Just then a large cat came by and, hearing the chirping, investigated the sounds. The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping bird, and promptly ate him.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY
1) Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy.
2) Everyone who gets you out of the sh it is not necessarily your friend.
3) And if you're warm and happy in a pile of sh it, keep your mouth shut.

1. Do not rebel against the greater good. the robin refused to fly south for the winter for warmth
2. Do not attempt the impossible. hence the robin suddenly decided to fly south in the middle of winter-where his wings are frozen and he fails
3. Be cautious. and now the robin decides to sing while he's stuck in a cow pie, where predators could easily snap him up.

the story is pretty good. to me the three morals are: 1. if you don`t do what you have to do at exactly the time that you have to do it then it will be really bad, or it will be harder to do it; 2. once you are in cow pasture you will go as deep as it this or when bad things happen everything but i mean everything goes bad; 3. you can never enjoy yourself trully when you`re in a bad situation, because you can never tell once the badest thing may happen right when you`re feeling the happiest or don`t let your enemies surprise you. dora

My attempt:
Respect the wisdom of those who came before you..
Not everyone who craps on you is your enemy.
Don't harp on your good fortune - it creates enemies..
Any close?
