This is a simple question that is on my mind, nothing in my life brought this up.

When you start in a relationship, do you automatically trust someone until the trust is broken? Or do they have to work on building trust with you through time?

I'm the second one.

Before entering a relationship you have observe a lot and make self judgement whether a guy you thought you would be inlove with trustworthy... Then as you go along you would know the character and attitue of the guy.... little by little build your trust until he proves he is worth to be trusted... but..... don't tell him that you are still observing him. To give your full love to him is also to trust him. As long as you see him worth of that trust go on...

Well I think everyone who takes the second one are well enough to be called sane .. you cant just wait for someone to break your trust relationship like that dont ever work .. I would say wait till you build a strong foundation for trust

hmm, this is a great question...

For me, I'm pretty trusting until I'm given a reason not to be. Of course when a relationship is new I'm always very alert to things like if I spot any red flags that could mean something more. I guess it's a little of both...

You have to work on building up your trust with people. People would not just trust you for no reason nor would they trust you if they don't know you too well. That is just stupid.
