Any great flexibility regimes or exercises I should definitely be doing and how often??

i was in ballet too, and it took me awhile, stretching everyday, get to where you can touch the ground flat handed with both feet together, and sit down and spread your legs and lay down all the way.

You can also try getting into the split position and holding that position for 15 secs several times.. just don't stretch so much to where it hurts... thats a signal your body is telling you that you are tearing too many muscles fibers

have to stretch everyday and go for dancing class like gym, but sometimes it would not work, like me, i did ballet for 8 years but still cant do split but it is maybe i did not stretch everyday but i have this friend who stetch her self everyday for 2 weeks and she can do split :)

contact a professional at your local gym who can help you, the last thing you want to do is rip your muscles trying to do the splits
