You're lucky! Eat a lot of protein (meats) or if you don't want to eat a lot of meat, try a weight-gain supplement milkshake. You can get the powder at Wal-mart, or at a health food store and mix it with milk or soy milk. A lot of body-builders use it but it is good for anyone who needs to gain. My husband is super-skinny! This is what he uses when his weight is down.
Also, if you lift weights, even a little bit each day, you will gain muscle mass and strengthen your bones. Go to the Wal-mart or other discount store and pick up a small weight. Hold it with your hand straight down at your side and do 12 slow lifts from th elbow. If it is getting hard by the 12th, that's a good weight to start with. If you can't do 12 it's too heavy, if it's easy to do 12, it's too light! A super-good book for easy weight-lifting is called 8 Minutes in the Morning. GOOD LUCK!

I would not fear approximately it. In the ancient cash, earlier than the whole lot went metric, that could be 10 stone ten pound, or almost eleven stone. My sixft son is fairly beneath 11stone at forty four, an ex ski champion and now cling-glider, mountain climber, as sinewy as a python and as tough as nails - and alarmingly healthful! Depending in your construct and bone-body I reckon that might be fair at 50yo. I'm seventy five, wasting a few muscle as a result of state of being inactive and wellbeing, however including a few fats in which it is not desired, and I weigh eleven.five stone at 5ft eight inch with an outstanding body. Unless your Dr's involved, I'd be blissful, if I have been you. Some muscle sports could construct greater weight than simply meals (of which alcohol's essentially the most fattening however no longer always well for you - a pitcher of wine an afternoon, or a pitcher of stout will fatten swiftly!) So have a good time, and experience! Most individuals are a long way too fats - who desires to cart round unecessary weight, like an undesirable suitcase?
