nuts are a great source of protein, and dont make you feel so weighed down. there are also many protein packed bars and dirnks, but they are often also loaded with other ingredients you dont want. stick with the natural stuff

An apple with peanut butter. It'll keep you going through your workout.

Dry roasted, unsalted peanuts are always good. Take about half- handful.
Beef Jerky is pretty good too.
