Can comeone please explain why the sentences below begin differently (Εγω, Εγω ειμαι, Ειμαι).

Also, why does the ending of tired change from (κουρασμενος to κουραστηκα) when adding "I am" but not for upset and happy?

Please excuse the lack of accents, I haven't found how to do them on my keyboard yet.

Εγω κουραστηκα
Εγω ειμαι ευτυχισμενος
Ειμαι στενοχωρημενος

Εγώ=me
Εγώ είμαι = I am
Είμαι = I am (in Greek you can say I am in both ways ) but! :

example:
who is a teacher?

correct answers: Εγώ είμαι = I am or Εγώ= Μe
wrong answer: Είμαι

(it is correct if the question is: are you a teacher? Είμαι=Ι am (a teacher)

It is a bit weird I know

also:
Εγώ κουράστηκα = past tense Ι was tired
Είμαι κουρασμένος = present tense Ι am tired

Εγώ είμαι ευτυχισμένος = I am happy
Eίμαι στενοχωρημένος = Ι am upset, sad, distressed

as for the accent hit the button next to the letter L but before the letter that needs to be accentuated

To add to what Trudiev said
Εγω, έιμαι ευτυχισμένος = I am happy, the εγώ is to emphasise the fact. Literally translated it reads "Me, I am happy"

ΕΓΩ ΚΟΥΡΑΣΤΙΚΑ I tired got
ΕΓΩ ΕΙΜΑΙ ΕΥΤΥΧΙΣΜΕΝΟΣ I am happy
ΕΙΜΑΙ ΣΤΕΝΟΧΩΡΗΜΕΝΟΣ I'm unhappy

It is just the way it is.

κουρασμένος,ευτυχισμένος,στενοχωρημένος are participles and it has to be the verb ειμαι in front of them.Κουράστηκα is a verb (the a past tense of κουράζομαι) and it only needs the personal pronouns(εγώ κουράστηκα,εσύ κουράστηκες......)
