There are -so- many things to consider. Price, performance, reliability, brand, etc. Give some specifics?

Depends on how much you want to pay. The typical Japanese made cars are fairly dependable, however when they do break down, the parts and labor a way more expensive that an American Made car. I like Fords and Chevy's in particular, they seem to be more dependable than the other American cars. I suggest going out to a dealer and test drive a couple of cars, but make sure the bring a car-wise friend or parent with you.

Sports cars are fun!!!!!!!!! I had a1972 MGBGT. What a kick in the ***!!!. I then had a 1970 Lotus Espree. Wow, did that go fast!!! After wrecking it...ugh.. not fun.. I bought a 1971 Porsche 914...I'm 6-0 tall, and I'm not frail......lots of fun, except getting in an out of the damn thing. Sold it, bought a De Tomaso, almost killed myself in it ..way to fast for its weight. I gave the precious gem away. I then bought another Porsche this time a bigger one but still a sports car..911 carerra. Totaled it.... I now drive a new, BIG, Cadillac..... I think I learned my lesson the hard way....I hope you have an easier road ahead of you than I did if you buy a sports car.

There are many things to consider....if you want a sports car everyone knows your are going to want to show it off an speed...ao make sure you have an area were cops are not around...also safety if you get a convetrible make sure they have roll over bars and check out all the cars ratings. Insurance is a big one...make sure you can afford it because it usually is outrageous on a sports car. You need more specifics to get a more personal answer

I am going out on a limb and assume that you are a new driver. If so, I recommend a 1979 Cadillac El Dorado. Heaviest production car ever made. You can run into anything with that tank and not get hurt.
