Food, treats, brush & comb, small toys, chew toys, collar & leash, pooper scooper, and a lot of your time and love. I always suggest if your going to take puppy with you in the car that you get a Dog Safety Car Harness or a Dog Car Booster Seat with safety Harness. If it gets cold where you live you will probably want to get a coat. Are you going to allow him on the furnature? If not, then you might want to consider a small bed dog mat for him. The crate is left in one room where he will sleep at night and the bed or mat can be put in the living room or where you spend most of your time. Check into obdience schools and take him to the vet once you get him.

You got those right! ;) you should put towels inside the crate, and also wrap a hot water bottle and a ticking clock in a towel. this reminds the puppy of his/her mother and comforts it. also put inside the crate something that smells like you! and get some tennis balls, dogs love these! and pet brushes. and maybe a hair clip, sometimes the fur over its eyes grow over the eyes before you take it to the groomer. also, get it a harness, leash, and ID tag with its name and your adress. also get it dog breath treats. and also, DON"T GIVE IT PEDIGREE DOG FOOD!!!!!!!! this makes dogs throw up! give it Science Diet or anything elso the vet suggests.

Toys and something for him to chew on. Some nylon bones are very good. And you'll need a leash for when you take him out to walk, or take him to the vet if he's not going to be carried in his crate. You may want to get him doggie treats to help with training too.
Good luck!

You'll need a leash and a collar with a name tag on it. Then you will need some toys for him to play with, and be sure to take him to the vet to get flea/heartworm medication. Some puppy treats will help you train him as a reward for doing well. And at the right age get him fixed...there is an astounding overpopulation problem.

I will just make a New Puppy List.
Puppy pads, Food and water bowls, toys for chewing like a kong, bones for chewing like raw hide, Puppy litter box with litter(if you want to litter train), puppy shampoo, brush for hair, tooth brush and paste for dogs (if you want but raw hides should take care of teeth too!), and anything else that you fell your pup needs. Those are just the must haves for a new puppy.

Maybe some toys for him to play with. If he is going to be an inside dog he will need to find fun and exercise in some way. And maybe one of those fleecy dog beds would be good for him too, it will be his own personal space that he will feel comfortable in. You can buy them at any general pet store I think.~~ Congrats on the new dog!

Shampoo, brush, comb, toys!!!! puppies love toys!!!!!Also a recommendation for the bowls....ceramic. Some plastic and most stainless steel tends to turn the noses of dogs with black noses pink. Enjoy your puppy!
