Yes in appearance he looked black from the way we categorize today. He was Hebrew, more of a Falasha Jew. Not like the Sephardic, or Askanazi Jews we see in the U.S. and modern day. The Middle Eastern comparison is arguable too, since most now have a Arabic, Turkish, blend. Like some of the islanders in Jamaica, are still Hebrew in worship, stemming from Ethiopian Tribe of Judah, where Yahushua (real name of Jesus) came out of. For the bible fans, "lambs wool" is not just curly, its thick, coarse, & what one calls "nappy" Now as scientist, and researchers are finally admitting that civilization starting out of what is now called Africa, why is it so hard believe? There is a dna connection that spands across the globe that traces back to the earliest mother FROM AFRICA, so why is it so difficult? The Continents use to be a lot closer than they are now, and migrating the waterways that are now oceans wasn't as hard as it is now. Study the Origins of all nationalities and you'll be at the root.

No one can provide a conclusive answer. This question has been debated over and over, yet there has never been sufficient evidence to prove any color.
If we resort to paintings that originate to the time of Jesus, most of them portrayed him as a dark skinned man, like most people from the middle east. Later illustrations and pictures, portrayed jesus as a white man, this was of course the work of the Roman empire. I can not dismiss the Roman art as false, since there is no evidence to support that.
I guess we all have to live not knowing his skin color, I personally do no think it matters if he is white, black or any other color.

Why do people have to question so much about Jesus's looks or God's looks?...why must there always be a "picture" depicting a holy or religious image?..That's why in Islam we don't allow pictures of people to be drawn because it causes too much controversy, and there's no need for that. The message has been brought and that's all that's needed
Hope I Helped
Good Luck!

Jesus was a Jewish Semite, so there is a 99.9% he was a dark skinned person with naturally curly hair that was dark brown or black.
He probably looked more like Osama then the pretty pictures found in American Bibles.

I don't think so,
Because when he's coming down to Earth he will be of average height and red and white in colour. Placing his hands on the wings of two Angels. His hair spread to the shoulders, straight, neat and shining as after a bath. On bending his head, it will seem as if pearls are falling. He will have an armour on his body. He will be wearing two pieces of cloth light yellow in color.

Jesus was Israeli/Hebrew/Jewish in ethnicity. As such he would have looks somewhat like Jews and other Middle-easterners today look like. He probably wasn't black, but he also definitely wasn't white/aryan like most of our images (european rennaisance originated, mostly) portray.
Hope that helps,
Chris

No, I really seriously don't think so. He was Jewish Middle Eastern.
It's like many years ago when it was postulated that Cleopatra was black when in fact she was Greek. People just trying to be controversial, that's all.
