You know that many people get beat up real bad, even shot up and all that happens is they go into a coma. Also do you know how hard it is to strangle somebody to death, it takes like almost ten soild minutes even more if the person is struggling or fighting back. Jesus was fighting to stay alive or he would not had followed directions. He survived a brutal I mean brutal beating, he was already on the verge of passing out. It is very I mean very difficult to literally beat somebody to deaf especially a grown man. It is not as easy at it is in the movies. So when he was hyng maybe Jesus just passed out on the cross. And three days later he came out of his coma. what do you think about that ???

You know, you ask a good question and I wish I could rate it, if I had a chance I would rate it a good one! First let me dive into the meat and potatoes of this question. Yes it is possible, but to understand the method of death, dear, was one not of a brutal beating but of Crucifixion. This was a long torturous death, where the body literally died of shock and lack of ability to breathe. Jesus' body was hanging so to where His lungs could not fully breathe in the air that it needed (add to that the brutal beating) Next, which will answer your question, it states in the bible (first some history) that at the hour the soldiers went and broke the knees of the people around Jesus (those two on the cross) to hasten death. They did not break Jesus' knees (they break the knees to hasten death because with broken Knees the body cannot move to promote breathing, also this was prophesied that none of His bones were broken) because He was already dead. How did they know this without an EEG or EKG? They stuck a spear in His side into His heart, where blood and water poured out. Any doctor will tell you that if He was alive blood and water would not pour out, but if He was alive the spear into the heart would have killed Him.

First, the Roman soldiers who were guarding the tomb were the elite of that age. If they had, say fallen asleep, and allowed someone to remove Him from the tomb, they would have been executed.

Second, He was beaten beyond recognition - his beard torn from His face, lashed with a cat of nine-tails (really nasty whip) to within an inch of His life. If He emerged from the tomb and went to everyone telling them He had been resurrected, how many people would want to follow - yeah you get resurrected, but your body is in the same shape it was when you died?

Third, the Romans were very good at what they did. They knew when someone was dead or not. In fact, because it was right before Passover, they were going to hasten His death by breaking His legs (as they did with the other two who were crucified next to Him), but when they got to Him, He was already dead.

Even if He did come out of a coma, how did He walk, with the amount of blood loss, dehydration, etc.

He was resurrected, as He foretold, and is alive today!

That would be possible if it hadn't been for the Roman's spear in the side (a well known fatal wound taught to Roman soldiers)

"34Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water."
-John 19:34 (NIV)

A medical analysis will tell you that the fact that water flowed hints that Jesus had lost almost all his blood by the time that the soldier speared him.

He was dead. On the third day He rose again. The story doesn't end there.

right this is what i think of: The bible ( written via guy, Shakespeare if I remember wisely) has been edited, revised and amended because of the fact it replaced into first written. there have been areas bumped off, some further so who is conscious for specific which area is truthfully translated from God's unique be conscious. there are specific areas that i think of is figuratively speaking and not plenty literal. you could study some thing in a single passage which would be completely contradicted in yet another. i'm very non secular and not plenty non secular. I also have a private relationship with God yet to no longer the factor of being a enthusiast. i've got self assurance we've been all born in sin ( as he's conscious) yet existence's journey must be approximately being concerned and loving others unselfishly, unconditionally, keeping his commandments and assisting people who can't help themselves. according to probability I have been given off the question particularly, yet to answer, i do no longer think of all interior the bible replaced into meant to be taken actually.

Think about this for a minute. They beat Jesus at the gallows pole.I don't remember the exact name of the weapon they used, but it had lead pellets embedded in the leather straps. The weapon also had goats teeth embedded in it also.(I think it was goats teeth).Anyway, they beat this man to the point where the flesh was ripped away from the bone.More than likely, you could probably see his rib cage. You could see his spine. If they hit him low in back, you probably see his kidneys.
Now if that wasn't enough, the way he was hung on the cross limited his breathing.Without proper inhale and exhale actions, fluid begins to fill up the lungs. The two thieves crucified with him had their legs broken, that way they would suffocate to death.Hanging on the cross that way with your legs broken keeps you in a constant position where you can only exhale. Not breaking the legs of Jesus prolonged torture.
To make sure he was truly dead,a roman soldier shoved a spear through his ribs going through the lungs and through his heart. That was when the clear fluid in his lungs sprayed out of his body.
Jesus not only bled out,he suffocated, and poured out bodily fluid. He indeed die on that cross.Had he not died on that cross there would not have been the perfect sacrifice. Our sins were bought and paid for at Calvary. He did resurrect in the flesh to be alive forever more.

No, he died. If he just passed out then that would defeat the whole purpose of him dying to cleanse our sins.

Jesus could have easily stopped the beatings or not have been beaten at all but His purpose to live on this earth was to die on this earth so that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

He ascended into Heaven and those who saw Him after His death noted that there were no marks or bruises on Him. Everyone is made whole again in Heaven.

I think the Romans were much too good at crucifying people to let anyone escape alive.

I think a spear through the heart is very difficult from which to spontaneously recover.

I think the well known and generally accepted accounts of Christ's crucifixion and death are true.

I think you have to be kidding!

If so then explain his perfect body when he rose from the grave. No bruises, cuts or damaged tissue. Only the nail prints in his hands. This is just another dumb question geared to avoid the truth of the Power of Jesus as the Son of God.

You ask me what do I think? I think you sound just like satan wanting & trying to do away with the resurrection power of Jesus, after Jesus told them, destroy this Temple (his Body) & in 3 days he will rasie it up again, So how can being just in a coma be destroyed, Sorry, you lose

No. The bible says they pierced side with a sword to ensure He was dead. Water instead of blood came from the wound. In those days they broke their legs to ensure they died but the Bible said none of His bones would be broken. They laid Him in the tomb with enough witnesses to know He was dead but true to His word His rose in three days. You have to believe in the words written in red to understand. He prayed for His Father to take the pain from Him but He knew that the only way to save mankind was to die on the cross. During His three days He took the keys to hell and death so that you and I could have a free ticket to heaven. All we have to do is repent of our sins(which we commit everyday) and believe He died there for us.
